Report: The Diva Search Not Returning This Year, Batista, New TNA Star

According to people I talked with, it doesn't appear WWE will be holding a Diva Search this year. When asked, no one within WWE was aware if the company will be going forward with any kind of a contest this year as many felt last year's fell flat at live arenas and was simply a collection of pre-tapes. Plans are always subject to change, but as of now the expectation is that it will not be held this year. It's interesting to note that a majority of the current WWE women's roster all came out of the Diva Search which includes Candice Michelle, Layla, Eve Torres, Maria, Maryse, Michelle McCool, Lena Yada and Tiffany

Pinakin sent this in: Batista was here in Mumbai, India yesterday to visit Door-Step School, an NGO working towards providing sustainable education to underprivileged children as part of the Ten Sports – WWE promotional tour. I watched the event on TV News..it was great he had a great interaction with the children and the children were genuinely delighted meeting him. He also talked to the press about WWE and his personal interests. He stated he is a big fan of "Actress and Former Miss World" Aishwarya Rai, and expressed a desire to meet her once. He said "I am in love with Aishwarya, but unfortunately she is already married."
