TNA iMPACT! Rating Is In, ROH/Florida Debut Cancelled, J.R, RAW
Thursday night's edition of TNA iMPACT! scored a 1.1 cable rating, the same as last week.
FCW will resume TV tapings for actual TV next month. The last few tapings have been for their own purposes and not for TV since no TV deal is in place. The belief is that now a deal has been reached.
ROH sent out this statement today: The 10/10 Coral Springs and 10/11 Orlando events have been postponed and will be rescheduled for early 2009. All tickets purchased for these events will be honored on the new dates. We hope to have a new dates announced next week. Sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you for your support. There's no word yet on the 10/12 Full Impact Pro event scheduled for that weekend that would have featured some of the same talents. I believe, but do not have confirmed, that light pre-sales for the ROH shows led to the postponement.
Jim Ross has a new blog entry up. Highlights are below: On the final CW Smackdown: The final Friday Night Smackdown airs Friday night on the CW before moving next week to MyNetworkTV with that first show to be taped this Tuesday in Titletown.... Green Bay, Wisconsin. This will be a loaded show that is resembling a PPV-like broadcast as it relates to star power from all 3 WWE brands being represented on the program in a variety of Title bouts. On Jeff Hardy's injury in Spain: The #1 contender for the WWE Title, Jeff Hardy, received 6 stitches in Barcelona, Spain but will miss zero ring time and this is not considered by any means a serious injury nor will it affect Jeff's in ring schedule. This sort of thing, while unpleasant, goes with the territory. On the Mr. Perfect DVD: As discussed here when we previewed the Mr. Perfect DVD several weeks ago, this one is a keeper and is selling big time. I continue to strongly recommend that wrestling fans, especially old school fans, check this one out. Curt was a great showman but his in ring wrestling skills were truly outstanding especially before he began having back issues. Curt was another second generation, success story.
