Backstage Notes & Spoiler For LIVE iMPACT! Tapings

It appears as though Abyss will take on Kurt Angle at TNA's Turning Point PPV. Plans can always change though. For those wondering, the Angle-Jarrett storyline is expected to continue but Abyss could be worked into the main event at Turning Point. We'll see where they go with it. I had thought they might go with Angle vs. Foley in the coming months but we'll see.

TNA is likely not expecting any kind of a record rating for the LIVE iMPACT! tonight as they are going against game two of the World Series. I'm sure they would be really happy with a 1.2.

The Legends title will debut tonight on the LIVE iMPACT!. Booker T is scheduled to do an in-ring promo and will debut it there.

TNA is doing house shows on Saturday night in St. Louis at Family Arena (where they held Lockdown in 2007) with Kurt Angle vs. Christian Cage, Beer Money vs. Team 3-D and Sheik Abdul Bashir vs. A.J. Styles. They also run Cape Girardeau, MO on Sunday with Angle vs. Styles, Cage vs. Cute Kip and Beer Money vs. Team 3-D.

TNA had two huge signs outside of Penn Station near Madison Square Garden with Foley on them, building up tonight's announcement.

Tonight's announcement by Foley likely has to do with his future role with TNA. He is going to be around for awhile so this is likely a new role for him.

The LIVE TNA iMPACT! telecast begins at 9EST on SpikeTV tonight.
