Bobby Lashley's MMA Debut In Jeopardy - Details Inside
Former ECW Champion Bobby Lashley's MMA debut for the American Fight League appears to be in jeopardy.
The AFL posted a statement on its website saying the company is ceasing operations until the first quarter of 2009. They wrote: "The American Fight League has made the decision to halt operations until the first quarter of 2009," says the company's website. "The organization's doors are still open and the roster of fighters remains the same. AFL fighters are free to fight in whatever organization that they wish while maintaining their current contract status."
Lashley was scheduled to make his MMA debut in December. He agreed to a two-fight deal, with an option for a third, and has been training full-time in MMA for the past year.
