D-X 'Suck It' Phrase Censored, Katie Lea Rants On HBK, Simmons, Edge Note

On this week's airing of Monday Night Raw on WWE 24/7 (October 13, 1997), Shawn Michaels & Triple H are involved in an interview segment with Sgt. Slaughter, who was the on-screen figurehead at the time. Slaughter informs the duo that they need to start showing respect. Michaels flippantly remarks, "Suck it!" to Slaughter and does the crotch chop. Triple H then directs a crotch chop of his own to Slaughter. Michaels' "Suck it" remark was censored during the airing, which I think was the first time it was uttered during a WWE broadcast. This was also the same show in which the name "D-Generation X" was first mentioned. In recent weeks, WWE 24/7 has been airing footage of the early days of DX, so it should be interesting to see if they continue to censor the catchphrase on further broadcasts.

WWE Diva Katie Lea has posted her latest (in-character) blog on the WWE Universe site. She gives her thoughts on the matches at Cyber Sunday and what stipulations the fans should choose. She busts out a rant on Shawn Michaels while discussing the Chris Jericho vs. Batista featuring a special guest referee match. Lea wrote: "The second choice, the 'Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels, isn't much better... Seriously, do they still call him 'Kid'...? Nevertheless, I will admit that it 'Breaks my Heart' (see how that works..?) that he still needs to be lurking around; and more than anything I'm tired of the moping and the constant boo-boo face... So let me address this little problem here directly: Shawn, please, please, please, for the love of God (no offense intended...) find your bloody smile already!! We know you're miserable. You've been miserable for a while now. It's time to get over it and move on."
