Karen Angle Written Off iMPACT!?, Christy Hemme Update, Taylor Wilde

On last Thursday's edition of TNA iMPACT!, Mick Foley was Karen Angle's guest on her talk segment, "Karen's Angle." Later in the night as Mick Foley was making his way to the ring, Mike Tenay & Don West noted on commentary that due to personal issues between Karen & Kurt, Karen has decided to step away as host of "Karen's Angle" and spend more time with her family.

Alex Marvez of the Scripps Howard News Service has an article on reigning TNA Women's Knockout Champion Taylor Wilde. After being released from her WWE developmental contract last year, Taylor said she was completely burnt out on the wrestling business. "I was really tired of everything that had to do with wrestling," said Wilde, whose WWE training came at the now-defunct Deep South Wrestling promotion in Georgia. "Being away from my family and training five days a week became really trying. I tried everything I possibly could to make it but no cigar. I was completely burnt out," Wilde said. "But after 2-1/2 months being home, doing the 9-to 5 thing as a part-time student wasn't working. I started missing wrestling and training to get back into it. About a month later, (TNA executive) Terry Taylor gave me a call." Wilde notes that she was the piece of the puzzle TNA needed. "The TNA Knockouts have such a diverse roster," said Wilde. "ODB is this beer-drinking animal and the Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky) are these cute girls you want to hate. TNA didn't have the bouncy, girl-next-door underdog who was constantly fighting from the bottom up and running from the monsters to stay alive. I was a piece of the puzzle they needed." The article notes that Wilde is currently enrolled at Toronto's York University while still wrestling for TNA. She is taking two classes toward a psychology degree and also has plans to later pursue another degree in broadcasting.

The Pro Wrestling Report conducted a video interview with Christy Hemme this past week, doing publicity for tonight's Bound for Glory pay-per-view in Chicago. During the interview, Hemme notes that TNA listens to its fans. At the end of the interview, the host accidentally says "Triple H" while listing the phone number to purchase tickets to Bound for Glory (trying to say "888"), but Christy keeps a straight face and doesn't react.
