Major Update On Sting & TNA Inside, Nash/TNA, Backstage News

? As reported Tuesday here on the site, Kevin Nash told News-JournalOnline.com that he hasn't signed an agreement with TNA yet. Issues with merchandise are preventing the deal from becoming official. However, a few people in TNA are saying that Nash faxed a contract back to TNA last week and key officials were told he signed, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The belief in TNA is that he has signed and is with them while others are saying he has agreed to most of the terms but is telling friends he hasn't signed quite yet.

? According to a new report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sting has verbally agreed to work through the end of 2009 for TNA Wrestling. It remains to be seen if a contract has been signed at this time, although they appear to be heading in the direction with future storylines as if he has. There is hope internally within TNA of working a program between Sting and Ric Flair a year from now when Flair's non-compete expires. The earliest this could be done would be next August in 2009. What Flair's status would be with WWE at that point is up in the air as many feel if he had the choice now to legally go to TNA he wouldn't do it. Of course, some have noticed within WWE that while the public line was that Flair and WWE separated on good terms, his decision to leave didn't go over well in some people's eyes.

? The belief among video game industry sources is that the "TNA iMPACT!" game needs to sell in the range of 600,000 copies for Midway to be successful. There is some data out currently, but many feel the figures are way too early and if they were true they would be way off that target to even have a decent shot. Ads for the game have been all over TV and some have noted that the TNA brand as a whole feels more major league now than it ever has before.
