Umaga & Charlie Haas Running Side Business Together, & More News

? The WWE site has an article on Raw Superstar Charlie Haas' new business venture, Custom Muscle, a nutritional store in Frisco, Texas, which opened its doors on October 1. "The [Web] site has been up for about a month, and our store in Texas opened on Oct. 1," Haas said. "We cater to sports nutrition and general health, from fat burners to vitamins and protein shakes." He also added, "We want it to be a place for people to come in, chat about nutrition, learn what you should and should not be taking, and how to make your body more fit and improve your overall health. Our bodies are our machines. We've got to put the right fuel in them to make them perform at their best." A few WWE stars including Shawn Michaels, Jamie Noble and some of the WWE Divas are patrons of Haas' store. Rey Mysterio also praised it by saying, "If you're really looking for nutrition, Custom Muscle has got it all. From fat burners to weight gainers and shakes ? no other place has what Custom Muscle does." The article notes that Haas' wife (former WWE Diva Jackie Gayda) plays a big part in running the venture. However, WWE doesn't acknowledge Umaga's involvement with the store. The Custom-Muscle.com website says the store is owned and operated by Charlie Haas, as well as Umaga.

? Both Charlie Haas & Umaga are quite familiar with pharmaceuticals as they were two of ten wrestlers found to have purchased illegal drugs not in compliance with WWE's Talent Wellness program, which resulted in 30-day suspensions being issued on August 30, 2007. According to Sports Illustrated's findings, Haas was allegedly prescribed anastrozole (used to prevent breast growth during a steroid cycle), somatropin (growth hormone), stanozolol (Winstrol, an anabolic steroid), nandrolone (anabolic steroid), and chorionic gonadotropin between August 2006 and January 2007. Umaga allegedly purchased somatropin ? a growth hormone ? between July and December 2006, from an online pharmacy, a flagrant violation of the WWE Talent Wellness program.
