WWE Dropping Announcer, Cena Trashes Red Sox, No Mercy, More
Timmy Baltimore, an announcer who signed a developmental contract with WWE sometime back, is returning to Ohio Valley Wrestling. Baltimore's contract recently expired and he didn't care to re-sign. WWE signed him after seeing his announcing work in OVW. He was then sent to FCW, although some say he's good enough to be put on WWE television right now. During his stay in FCW, they never used him as an announcer but rather as an errand guy. He worked as a bell ringer and did other odd jobs for Dusty Rhodes in Tampa. Baltimore basically told WWE that if he knew this was what his job was going to be he wouldn't have signed in the first place.
Stacy sent in the following... John Cena and Nasty Boy Brian Knobs was at the Tampa Bay Rays fan rally yesterday here in the city. Cena called Sean Casey of the Boston Red Sox and left a message on his cell phone talking trash with the Rays fans in the background yelling. I thought this weird because I assumed Cena was a Red Sox fan being from Boston. Anyway, Cena was decked out in Rays gear and introduced Knobs as the official 10th man of the Rays and 500 pounds of excitement. Cena also flubbed for a minute and called them the Devil Rays but corrected himself. Knobs came out and got the crowd pumped. He also said Hulk Hogan apologized for not being there today but he would be at the big game on Thursday.
WWE will not be holding any house shows this week before No Mercy.
