ECW Rating Is In, Palumbo's WWE Firing, Major WWE Issues, & More
? Last night's edition of ECW on Sci-Fi scored a 1.15 cable rating, slightly down from last week's 1.2 rating. You can round that up though.
? Chuck Palumbo's contract was expiring when he was released. WWE hadn't used him in months and there were no plans to use him in the future.
? WWE concluded its very successful European tour this past weekend, running 22 dates and grossing somewhere between $12 million and $14 million. This makes the tour one of the most, if not the most, successful overseas tour in the company's history. Almost all tickets were sold months ago so the economy didn't play a factor in these numbers. A higher percentage of kids were spotted at the shows than during previous European tours.
? There are major problems being reported with the new Italian version of WWE.com. The recently launched site is still a work in progress and a lot of the normal features are still missing. Anyone in Italy who tries to go to the US WWE.com page to see those features runs into a splash screen, which automatically re-directs them to the unfinished website.
