Jim Ross: Flair Vs. Hogan, Steve Austin In The HOF, More
- Jim Ross has posted another Q&A on his website at jrsbarbq.com. Here are some of the highlights:
JR on Flair returning in some capacity: Perhaps never but I feel it will occur some day. I don't see it until Ric's post career "run" has slowed down to a more manageable pace and he has done many of the projects that he might not be able to do if he were working for the WWE.
JR on Steve Austin being inducted into the HOF next year: Better than a 50/50 chance is one man's opinion. Steve certainly deserves the accolade.
JR on the news of WWE wanting the wrestlers called entertainers: I've heard that a grat deal lately but thus far it hasn't come up in my on air work.
JR on why WWE didn't do a major Flair vs. Hogan PPV: Don't really know. Might have been politics, timing, creative issues, whatever. By the time Ric got to the WWE it felt like it was about 10 years too late to really capitalize on the Hulk-flair match but it would have done fine for a one time PPV most likely. Don't know the answer.
