Orton Says HHH/Vince Helped Him Mature, Candice Injured?, Beth Phoenix
Although she showed signs of a hamstring of leg injury last night at the Survivor Series PPV, Candice Michelle was fine later that evening.
SLAM! Wrestling has an interview Randy Orton today. In the interview, Orton admits to being a loose cannon who pushed things too far at times. "I wasn't thinking before I was saying things," Orton said. "I was taking the heel persona a little too seriously. I was told, 'This isn't going to work for you. That's what the ring is for. This is a publicly traded company and you're not a kid anymore.'" Orton added, "Vince said he couldn't have somebody who was a loose cannon. He said if any person was going to stop Randy Orton from succeeding, it was Randy Orton." Orton said he has had similar conversations with other people. "I'm sure Triple H was probably thinking it. He probably had a hundred of those conversations with me," says Orton. Orton also speaks out on receiving a bad rap for trashing a hotel room in Germany, his August motorcycle accident, and more. He also gave his thoughts on being ranked the No. 1 wrestler by Pro Wrestling Illustrated (in the PWI 500). Orton said he doesn't pay much attention to those accolades. "If I'm first or 60th, it doesn't really matter to me," Orton said. "But when my wife sees the magazine at Walgreen's ... she's like, 'That's so cool!' "They can hate me. I would love for all of them to hate me. It really means nothing to me."
The WWE site has an article on Candice Michelle's feature in the latest issue of Muscular Development. "It's cool to be a part of this fitness magazine. It's about me being injured and then coming back and about my feelings on where I am in WWE right now. It's a really beautiful layout. It defines beauty," Michelle said.
WWE Women's Champion Beth Phoenix was the sole Survivor in last night's Divas traditional Survivor Series match. Phoenix spoke out on her victory, and you can see the video interview at WWE.com.
Today is also Beth Phoenix's birthday. She turns 28 years old.
