WWE House Show Results (11-29) From State College, PA
Thanks to Jdogg1020 for sending these results from the WWE Smackdown/ECW live house show held in State College, PA at the Bryce Jordan Center on Saturday November 29th, 2008.
The night started with The Great Khali facing MVP. A short opener with Khali getting the victory after using his Vice Grip.
The next match was a Divas Tag Team match. The Bella Twins faced Maryse and Natalya. The match ended with the Bella Twins pulling a switch and rolling up Natalya for the win.
The third match of the night was Ricky Ortiz vs Tommy Dreamer. The finish came when Tommy Dreamer hit the DDT and pinned Ricky.
The fourth match featured Big Show facing Finlay. The match ended with Big Show hitting the knockout punch and pinning Finlay. After the match Big Show knocked out Hornswoggle with his right hand.
The fifth contest was for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Carlito and his brother Primo defended the titles against The Miz and John Morrison. The finish saw Primo hit his top rope crossbody on the Miz for the Win.
There was a short intermission after that.
After the Intermission we had Shelton Benjamin defending his US Championship against R-Truth. R-Truth tried to hit his scissor kick but was countered and Shelton hit the Paydirt for the win. After the match Shelton got R-Truth to come back in the ring, and they started to dance. It didn't last long as Shelton tried to attack R-Truth from behind, but Truth countered with his Scissor Kick.
The final match of the Night was Edge vs Jeff Hardy for the WWE Championship. The Match was ended shortly after the start due to Vladimir Kozlov running out and attacking Hardy. Soon after Triple H came down to ringside and made the fight even. And suggested they have a tag team match. Hardy was in the ring for most of the match, taking the beating from Kozlov and Edge. The match ended when Edge got hit with the Twist of Fate, and Triple H Pedigreed Kozlov, followed by Jeff Hardy's Swanton.
It wasn't a very large crowd, but due to the holiday it wasn't a big surprise. Also The Sign Guy was in attendance.
