WWE Puts Over Weak 'Mania Ticket Sales, Tiffany Note, Bam Neely, More

Despite reports claiming disappointing ticket sales for WrestleMania 25 in Houston, WWE issued the following press release this afternoon touting $4.8 million in sales and "tens of thousands of enthusiastic fans" purchasing tickets for the "for the iconic 25th anniversary of WrestleMania. WrestleMania: Texas-Sized Ticket Sales STAMFORD, Conn., November 9, 2008 ? WWE fans worldwide took home thousands of available tickets yesterday during the official on-sale date for the 25th anniversary of WrestleMania. With ticket sales already exceeding $4.8 million, fans from 24 countries, including all 50 states and 7 Canadian provinces, are expected to attend the event, making the 25th anniversary of WrestleMania an event only a state the size of Texas could handle. Tens of thousands of enthusiastic fans purchased tickets at the Reliant Stadium Box Office, Ticketmaster offices, and logged-on to Ticketmaster.com for the iconic 25th anniversary of WrestleMania. Tickets will continue to be available at Ticketmaster outlets throughout Texas and worldwide at www.ticketmaster.com. ? WWE Diva Tiffany did the ring announcing at FCW this past week and Ricky Ortiz, who did not go on WWE's European tour, worked a match. Eve Torres and missing ECW wrestler Armando Estrada were on hand to sign autographs before the show. The mother of DH Smith, Diana Hart, was at the show and there is a photo of her with the fan. You can also see a photo of new FCW champions Smith & TJ Wilson wearing their belts. The two have since gotten new ring gear and aren't wearing their trademark UK tights anymore. They're now sporting matching black vests with black tights & black boots. In recent weeks, there have been rumblings about the two being called up to SmackDown.
