Raw starts now. . We're live from Atlanta, and as always, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler are at ringside.

The ring is full of the Raw Superstars. Michael Cole introduces Stephanie McMahon. Ever since Mike Adamle resigned, she's been flooded with questions from Superstars and fans alike, so she wants to address those questions right now. Randy Orton steps up and ask why is it that John Cena gets the title match this Sunday? What's so damn special about Cena? Steph says that that decision was made without her input, but before Cena got injured, he was a top contender and is a 3-time champion. Orton says that's fine, but so everybody knows, he's next in line. Cody Rhodes mentions Orton kicking Ted DiBiase in the head. Rhodes wants to know what's up with the lack of punishment, and what's up with Cody being on Orton's Survivor Series team. Cody wants to know why Orton wasn't suspended. Steph said says they're grown men. Steph mentions Orton costing CM Punk the World title a while back, and Punk and Orton will go one-on-one tonight, in a 30-man Lumberjack match. Orton isn't happy.

Santino Marella gets in between a Orton/Cody stare down. Santino says rapper singer Akorn is here, so he will ask his question in the form of a rapping song. The gist of it is he wants his IC title back. Santino says Regal isn't even in a restaurant and he got served. McMahon says he had two rematches overseas last week and lost. Santino isn't happy.

JBL asks where Mr. McMahon is. He has a problem with Shawn Michaels, who Vince has had problems with in the past. Steph says Vince is out of the picture for now. Shawn Michaels has something to say. Hypothetically, if one didn't want to wait 6-days until Survivor Series to get their revenge for getting hit with a chair. Steph asks him to be patience. Shawn says patience is a fine attribute. Shawn leaps on JBL and the rings clears. JBL avoids Chin Music and bails as HBK stands tall.

Cole and Lawler talk going green, 'cause it's green week. They talk about John Cena and we get another video package. I know people are saying these packages are over-the-top and cheesy, but without Cena there to hype the match, they really are necessary. In the back, Chris Jericho looks on. He's with Stephanie McMahon. He says Cena is a bad influence and when he returns it'll cause more havoc than she can imagine. It's in Raw's best interest for Jericho to retain the title. Interesting.

CM Punk is with Todd Grisham. We see how Punk "lost" his title at Unforgiven. Punk says he's been frustrated, and he doesn't even know why he got kicked in the head. Maybe Orton just wanted to make a statement, but he ruined his miracle year. Everything he's had in his career he's worked hard for. Tonight, he gets pay back.

William Regal is upset that a rap star got a better reception than the Intercontinental Champion. And you people wonder why Great Britain is more respected across the world. He serves the Queen with dignity and loyalty, foreign concepts to Americans.

Chris Jericho is out for a chat. What self-respecting grown man goes to a wrestling event with a sign that says "World Heavyweight Cry Baby"? Jericho says for the past month we've been treated with the heart-warming story of John Cena. But his story is more impressive and it begins in 2001, when he achieved legendary status, by beating The Rock and Steve Austin in the same night. That was enough to cement anyone's place in history, but that wasn't enough. In September, he won the Scramble match, beating four of Raw's top stars. And while Cena was at home recuperating, he has achieved greatness time and time again,. He beat CM Punk in a Cage match, beat Shawn Michaels in a Ladder match, and then beat Batista in another Cage match to become a 5-time world champion. He's one every conceivable match put in front of him, beat every top-level superstar and yet every bit of passion and hype has been centered towards one man ? John Cena. Cena's been treated as a saviour and a hero, but he has never conquered Jericho. Every fairytale on Raw ends the same way ? Jericho holding the world championship high above his head. He's the best in the world, he's at the time of his game and he refuses to let Cena waltz into this ring and take what is his. The centerpiece of Raw is not John Cena, it's the World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Jericho. At Survivor Series, he will end the phenomenon that is John Cena and then, and only then, will Monday night Raw be saved.
