Backstage Notes From The ROH Show In New York City

Representatives from HDNet were in attendance at both ROH shows this weekend. The feeling is that a deal between HDNet and ROH is imminent.
In another production upgrade move, ROH has purchased four new cameras, for $13,000 each.
Regarding the incident between Austin Aries and some fans last night, as Aries was leaving the ring, a fan grabbed his shoulder and spun him around. Aries felt as if the fan was going to hit him, so he laid the fan out with one punch. From there, a friend of the fan tried to jump the railing, and Referee Paul Turner got involved at that point to stop any further altercation.
Within the company, most agree that the Hammerstein Ballroom show was the better of the two weekend shows. They feel that the Philadelphia show was good, but that the audience is harder to please. The Hammerstein Ballroom show felt more alive, especially for the main events.
The goal with Jerry Lynn is to push him as a major face in 2009.
