ROH President Cary Silkin is very pleased with the attention The Wrestler is getting. The New York Post had a full-page color article for the film that featured ROH. The climax of the movie was filmed at an ROH event, and Silkin hopes that this will bring some attention to the company, especially to new fans.
Nigel McGuiness, The Necro Butcher and Claudio Castagnoli all have appearances in the film.
Tickets for the Ring of Honor shows in Houston, Texas, that will take place over WrestleMania weekend, are currently on sale.
Tyler Black vs. Austin Aries has been announced for the December 28th show in New York. The winner of the match will receive an ROH Title match.
The Philadelphia show on December 27th has been named All-Star Extravaganza IV
The Screen Actor's Guild Award Nominees came out today, and Mickey Rourke was nominated in the category of "Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role" for his part in The Wrestler.
