SD!/MyNetwork TV Update, The Wrestler, Cena/Kelly, NWA Note, More
Broadcasting & Cable is reporting that MyNetworkTV is up 50% in the 18-34 Male demographics from a year ago. This is due to the addition of WWE Smackdown to the network's Friday night primetime slot. MyNetwork is claiming that they have moved up six slots from last year among the network TV rankings. Last year they were16th, and now they are 10th among all broadcast and cable networks.

As of now, there is no major update on the NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood TV deal. For now they will continue to air the NWA Wrestling Showcase on Dish Network's Colours as a secondary show. The tapings this month look to be for that series of shows. The NWA and Big Vision Entertainment are in the process of trying to sell the Hollywood series to international and domestic TV outlets. So right now, they don't want to show the product until they can put a deal in place.
As reported on Monday, WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena and Kelly Kelly appeared on MSNBC to talk about WWE's Tribute to the Troops tour. In case you missed it, you can see video of their appearance at MSNBC.com. Cena said the troops wish they could be home with their families, so they try to do the next best thing by bringing "a slice of America" to them. Kelly said she doesn't get nervous when she's overseas because she's excited to meet the troops. Cena added he's proud to be standing next to the men and women who defend the United States.
