ECW Champion Matt Hardy vs. Vladimir Kozlov

Koslov started out with power moves that Hardy kept slipping out of before hitting a back suplex. Already tons more heat then his match with Triple H at Survivor Series, but that's not hard to do.

Koslov continued maintaining the advantage with a wristlock and other submission moves on Hardy's arm. Anytime Hardy seemed to come back, Kozlov would quickly regain the advantage. Hardy was finally able to gain the advantage outside of the ring and rammed Kozlov into the ring post.

Hardythrew Koslov back in the ring and hit a side effect for a two count. He tried for another but Koslov reversed it for a two count. Koslov later slammed Hardy's head into the ring post, hit a battering ram and then hit a rock bottom to get the win.

Punk continued to hold the advantage once Mysterio was back in the ring.

Mysterio got control later in the match and the two traded the advantage several times. The finish of the match saw Mysterio connect with a 619 but missed the follow up splash. Punk tried to get up but Mysterio rolled up Punk for a two count. Mysterio got on Punk's shoulders, but Punk caught him and was able to hit the GTS and get the win. It looked like Mysterio's nose was busted after the match.

Winner via pinfall: CM Punk

Punk and Mysterio embraced after the match and Regal mockingly clapped at ringside.

A promo for the Royal Rumble aired.

Jeff Hardy was shown backstage. Hardy said that he will show everyone tonight that he's ready to be WWE Champion.

A video was shown recapping the JBL – Shawn Michaels feud. JBL then came to the ring sans the black eye.

JBL introduced us to his newest employee . . . Shawn Michaels. HBK came to the ring and took the mic. He said that the economy has hit us all hard and said he spent all his money when he was in his 20s, and in his 30s he spent a lot of money on his medical expenses. He said 10 years ago he got married and started investing in the market. He said it wouldn't have been a big deal 20 years ago, but now he doesn't know how much time he has left and he has a family to support. He then noted that's why he took JBL on his offer, even though he finds him reprehensible. However, JBL is good financially and that's what he needs. He doesn't want to be one of those guys that ends up working at a grocery store or wrestling at a high school gym and he will not allow himself to become a wrestling tragedy. He said if being booed is the price he has to pay, then he'll pay it. The crowd started chanting "You Sold Out". Michaels said that he didn't want to do this but had to, and then JBL took the mic away from him. He then put his hand out and Michaels shook it to end the segment. This seems reminiscent of the Ted Dibiase – Virgin feud from the early 90s.

Eve interviewed Randy Orton backstage and asked what his strategy was for Batista tonight and before he could answer, Cody Rhodes came out and answered for him. Manu followed up with a weak promo of his own and then Orton walked away.

Some of the Buffalo Bills were shown at ringside.

Belfast Brawl
Finlay vs. Mark Henry

Matt Striker noted that the only way to win this match was by pinfall or submission. Both men brawled inside and outside the ring. Finally Finlay got the advantage and then went outside the ring and started throwing a bunch of weapons in the ring, including trash cans and kendo sticks. As he got in the ring, Henry nailed Finlay with a trash can lid. Henry then worked Finlay over with a variety of power moves.

Finlay finally gained the advantage and delivered some kendo stick shots and trash can shots and got a two count.

Later in the match, Finlay tried to use the shillelagh but Henry broke it in half. Finlay tried to use a kendo stick and Henry broke that as well. Hornswoggle ran down to ringside, but Henry shoved Finlay into him and Hornswoggle then went other the ring. Henry continued to work Finlay over and then grabbed the steel steps and threw them in the ring but Finlay was able to dropkick Henry and Henry dropped the steps. Hornsoggle came back from under the ring and threw a shillelagh to Finlay, who used it on Henry and got the pin. Not a great match, but much better than the other matches the two have had.

Winner via pinfall: Finlay

A promo for the WWE Tribute To The Troops on NBC aired.

Backstage the divas were decorating a X-Mas tree until Santa Haas came in and started to give them presents. Santino and Beth Phoenix came in to spoil the party, but found the Boogeyman in one of the gifts. As the tried to leave, Goldust was in the door. Before you knew it, IRS, Festus and some refs came in and they all started singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" . . . including the Boogeyman. They're doing segments like this too often, but it worked here.

Mr. Kennedy did a promo telling kids not to do drugs and to check out his new DVD.

Batista vs. Randy Orton

Batista came out first, and Orton then came out with Rhodes and Manu. Orton got a big pop, which seems to be common lately.

Early on Orton threw Batista outside the ring and Rhodes and Manu started beating on him, prompting the referee to send Rhodes and Manu to the back.

At one point Orton charged Batista and Batista moved, sending Orton flying over the top rope and landing similar to the time he got his shoulder injury. Not this time though, and Orton was able to quickly regain the advantage with that DDT while the opponent's feet are on the ropes move. He then followed it up with the chinlock of doom, which he held onto for awhile.

There is a surprising lack of heat in this match, especially considering who's involved. Late in the match, Batista hit a spinebuster and got a two count. He then went for the Batista bomb, but Orton reversed for the RKO, but Batista pushed him off and slammed him to the mat. He then went for a spear but met Orton's foot. Orton hit the neckbreaker for another two count. Orton positioned himself to get the RKO, but Batista caught him for another slam and a two count. Orton got up and hit a DDT and then went for the punt, but Batista caught him and worked away on Orton in the corner. Orton tried to pull him off, but Batista had him caught and hit a Batista bomb and got the three count. Pretty good match due to the last five minutes.

Winner via pinfall: Batista

A recap of Raw was shown.

Eight-Diva Santa's Little Helper Match
Mickie James, Michelle McCool, Maria and Kelly Kelly vs. Victoria, Natalya, Maryse and Jillian

All three announce teams announced this one. There wasn't much to this match, although it wasn't overly bad.

The end of the match saw Maria working over Jillian, but Michelle McCool tagged herself in as Maria ran to the ropes. McCool hit Jillian with her new finisher and got the pin.

Winner via pinfall: Mickie James, Michelle McCool, Maria and Kelly Kelly

The Great Khali came out to new entrance music. Ranjin Singh said it was time for the Great Khali's kiss cam. Singh chose Michelle McCool but she ran off. Singh said that the one thing better than kissing one diva was kissing three. The three were reluctant, and Singh said he had a backup plan and it was someone who's been helping Santa for a long, long time. Cue Mae Young. Young was moving really slow out there. Lawler got to break out his jokes that he used on Stu Hart in his feud with Bret Hart in 1993. Khali got Young up in his arms and they went at it. This went on way too long.

A promo for Prince Of Persia was shown.

Chris Jericho was shown in the back and a video package for Cena – Jericho was shown.

It's strange that with all the championships in the WWE, this is the first championship match of the night.

World Heavyweight Championship
John Cena (c) vs. Chris Jericho

Cena went for the FU early, but Jericho was able to counter and turn it into a DDT. Jericho dominated the early portion of the match.

Late in the match, Cena once again went for the FU but Jericho reversed it into the codebreaker but could only get a two count. While Jericho complained to the ref, Cena got up and hit an FU on Jericho but took awhile to cover Jericho and only got a two count. Jericho went for an enziguiri, but Cena ducked and a couple of counters later, Jericho got the Walls Of Jericho on Cena. Cena was able to reverse it and get the STFU, forcing Jericho to tap. Much better than their match last month.

Winner via submission: John Cena

WWE Championship (Triple Threat)
Edge (c) vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Triple H

Some good, innovative moves in this match. At one point, Triple H had Edge on his shoulders and Jeff Hardy climbed to the top and hit the whisper in the wind on Edge. Shortly after, Hardy hit the twist of fate and then the swanton on Triple H, but Edge (who was outside of the ring) pulled Hardy off.

The match later went to the outside and Triple H setup the ECW announce table. Matt Hardy came out and started braling with Koslov to the back, with Koslov getting the better of it. Triple H got back in the ring and was hit with a spear from Edge, but Edge only got a three count.

Edge went to the outside and got two chairs and set up Triple H for the conchairto. Before he could hit it, Hardy grabbed the chair from Edge and drilled him with it. Hardy went to the top but HHH hit the ropes and dropped Hardy. Triple H then hit the pedigree on Edge, but Hardy came from out of nowhere to hit the swanton on Edge and partially Triple H, and pinned Edge! Great match and the fans were into Hardy winning.
