Here's the AP story on John du Pont, the murderer of Kurt Angle's Olympic wrestling coach David Schultz, being denied parole. MEDIA, Pa. (AP) ? John du Pont, the multimillionaire chemical heir convicted of murdering an Olympic athlete in 1996, has lost a bid for parole. A jury found du Pont guilty but mentally ill in 1997 in the shooting death of gold medal-winning wrestler David Schultz. Du Pont was sentenced to 13 to 30 years in prison, but first was treated for three months at a state mental hospital. His attorney, Tara Wochok, says du Pont's parole petition was turned down last month. Delaware County District Attorney Michael Green says that was because of the brutal way in which Schultz died, and because the 70-year-old du Pont has not shown remorse. When he was killed, Schultz had been training at a wrestling facility at the compound where du Pont lived. Police arrested du Pont after a two-day standoff.
