Backstage Reaction To Jeff Hardy As WWE Champion

– Recent reports are indicating that there were some rumblings backstage at Smackdown events over Christmas week that it would be a mistake to take the WWE Championship off Jeff Hardy based on reactions he has been getting at shows. There are many back stage who feel that Jeff right now is on fire and has the chance to become as big of a star as John Cena over the next year and that WWE shouldn't be so quick to pull the belt off him because of their original long term plans. It should also be noted that the reaction Jeff received in his match with Edge in Greensboro, NC was said to be a career highlight for him having attending wrestling events there as a child.
