Ric Flair's Daughter Pleads Guilty Following Incident
Ric Flair's daughter, Ashley Flehr, plead guilty yesterday on charges of being intoxicated, resisting a police officer, and being disruptive after police were called to the scene of the incident between Ric Flair & her boyfriend reports the Durham Herald. The guilty plea comes as part of a plea bargain agreement that saw authorities drop the charge of assault on a police officer.
For those who don't remember, in September 5th, 2008 police were called to an apartment complex around 3am about a fight. Police followed a trail of blood to an apartment where Ashley and her boyfriend resided. Ric Flair was in the apartment injured, Ashley reportedly tried to get in the way when the officer was trying to see what was going on with them.
After several warnings, Ashley was removed from the residence, but pulled away and kicked the officer once she was outside. Ashley ended up being shot with a taser twice during the incident.
Ashley apologized to the court for the incident and was fined $200 plus court costs and was given a 45 day jail sentence which was suspended for one year.
She was also put on supervised probation and was ordered to get alcohol & drug treatment. She will be subject to random drug tests and searches during that time period as well.
Ric Flair was not in attendance at the proceeding, and his agent Elaine Gillespie, declined comment only to note that the incident would have no bearing on his career.
