Sting Not In Good Shape These Days?, New TNA Knockout, More
Sting was in a lot of pain before and after last night's TNA Genesis pay-per-view, reports prowrestling.net. Sting recently underwent knee surgery and is having a hard time moving around. TNA did an injury angle with Rhino so Sting could have a simple match with him. It's been speculated that Sting's ongoing knee problems will make this year his last year in wrestling. His current contract with TNA expires late this year.
The Coshocton Tribune has an article on Ashley Lane, who wrestled Awesome Kong on last week's iMPACT! under the name "Madison Rayne." Lane has wanted to worked in TNA since they started up the women's division. She sent some match tapes and pictures of herself to TNA officials in hopes of getting a call. She finally got the call to appear at the December 16 iMPACT! taping in Orlando. "Working with TNA was by far one of the most amazing experiences of my career and I'd go so far as to say one of the most amazing experiences of my life," said Lane. "It was an incredible feeling to know that I was one step closer to my dream. If the opportunity to return arises, you better believe I will jump on it, without a doubt." On wrestling Kong, Lane said, "Obviously, being my size, I rarely, if ever, have had a size advantage in the ring. But nothing compared to the size disadvantage I had against Kong. To see her on television is one thing, but to stand eye to eye with her in the ring is a whole different story. She's an incredible athlete with amazing strength and to be able to say I stood toe to toe with her is a huge accomplishment." Lane was welcomed backstage at the iMPACT! taping. "I got to meet several of the wrestlers there. Not one time did I feel unwelcome by anyone," said Lane. "The locker room was so welcoming of me, every person I saw was smiling and having fun and people were more than willing to lend a helping hand."
