? The former Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Ed Leslie, has pulled out of a scheduled celebrity boxing match with Tom Robinson that was planned for 1/24. Leslie, 51, has never boxed, nor has Robinson. As a result, Robinson is now scheduled against The Sandman in three one minute rounds, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
? Nu Wrestling Evolution, which is the group based in Italy, and uses Rihishi and RVD as top names now has a weekly TV show on Ch. 52MX. There are talks that they could run Mexico City, working with Perros Del Mal, as soon as February.
? Juventud Guerrera could return to AAA as soon as February. Guerrera has a lot of heat with the company after he no showed TripleMania last year, and some within the company feel if he is brought back, it will show a lack of discipline within the company.
? Keith Elliot Greenberg is now working on a biography on WWE Hall of Famer The Iron Sheik. Greenberg wrote the WWE produced books on Fred Blassie and Superstar Billy Graham, as well as Ric Flair, although Flair himself has credited Mark Madden with turning the project around.
? As reported several times before, there was talk of calling up DH Smith and TJ Wilson (with Natalya as their manager) to SmackDown as The New Hart Foundation, but those plans are off. A few weeks ago, Smith went to the creative team and pitched the idea that be brought on board as part of Randy Orton's Legacy faction. Smith is set to debut in The Legacy any week now. Many backstage feel Smith was wrong to turn on Natalya as well as Wilson — his best friend since childhood — in order to get a bigger push on the bigger stage.
