Victoria's Retirement, 2 More HOF Names Revealed, Batista Update
Veteran WWE Diva Victoria retired following her match with Michelle McCool on last night's SmackDown. After the match, she gave a heartfelt farewell to the WWE Universe which didn't air during the broadcast. You can watch Victoria's goodbye at WWE.com. Victoria's profile has also been moved to the WWE Alumni section. She is also today's "Daily Diva" and they posted a final photo gallery of her. No word yet if Victoria has actually been released from her WWE contract.
Terry and Dory Funk Jr. will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, prior to Wrestlemania 25 in Houston, joining "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (and the yet officially announced "Cowboy" Bill Watts). The official announcement will likely be made in a few weeks.
Tickets for the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at the Toyota Center officially went on sale today. Tickets sold pretty well as the only seats still available are in the rafters.
As reported earlier, Batista and former WWE & ECW Champion Rob Van Dam will both be in the film The Wrong Side of the Tracks Part I. The movie will be filmed in Baton Rouge, La., from Feb. 3 through Feb. 24. However, representatives of Batista are saying on his official website (www.Demon-Wrestling.com) that there is only offer on the table for him to do the film, and nothing has been committed at this stage or approved by WWE. His representatives also refute rumors that Batista asked for time off months ago.
