WWE recently signed Michael Hutter to a contract. Hutter had been training at Ohio Valley Wrestling in recent months and has worked independents in the Cleveland area, including AIW. Hutter recently took part in the first Florida Championship Wrestling training camp and received a developmental contract soon after.
WWE recently signed brother tag team Jason and Johnny Riggs. They were previously under contract when WWE was affiliated with Ohio Valley Wrestling, but dropped from their deals in 2006. They were considered good talents but creative felt they were too one-dimensional. The Riggs took part in the first Florida Championship Wrestling training camp back in October and received developmental deals shortly afterwards.
WWE's developmental promotion Florida Championship Wrestling will no longer be holding Tuesday night house shows at Bourbon Street in Port Richey, Florida. WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis made the edict after attending the most recent show with WWE producer Ricky Steamboat. Laurinaitis felt the company running wrestling shows in a bar was against the image World Wrestling Entertainment wanted for its minor league company. Former ACW promoter Ralph Mosca helped coordinate the shows and is moving on as a result. He recently set up a deal to run ACW shows at the venue again.
