A Major Update On JBL/OVW - Life After WWE?

According to reports, it appears as if JBL is interested in buying into Ohio Valley Wrestling, while Danny Davis would run the day-to-day operations of the company. One story making its way around is that JBL is looking at this opportunity as something to do after he is done wrestling. There is even talk that he would move to Louisville and oversee the company when he wrestling career is done. There is also talk that JBL wants to get into promoting MMA.

While there is always a possibility that OVW could become a WWE developmental territory again, but nothing has been discussed right now. If JBL becomes a major player with OVW, WWE would be more likely to restart a relationship with OVW, especially if Florida Championship Wrestling doesn't do well, or outright fails.

Regarding the MMA story, the following was posted on the OVW website today:

Danny Davis has unleashed the Vyper Fight League (VFL), an all new fighting organization to begin hosting events at the Davis Arena this April. The VFL is going to revolutionize Mixed Martial Arts just like OVW revolutionized Professional Wrestling. Be a part of the historic rise of the Vyper Fight League!
