– Head SmackDown writer Michael Hayes is feeling pressure regarding the ratings for Friday Night SmackDown. While the show is doing record ratings for MyNetworkTV, they are still far behind what the show was doing last year.
– WWE's Senior Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis will be scouting talent at the Wild Samoan Training Camp in June. The following press release was issued:
Afa "The Wild Samoan" continues to help make wrestling dreams come true!
Leesburg, FL — Afa "The Wild Samoan" will open his training camp to the best of the trained Independent wrestlers for a special evaluation by WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis. "Johnny Ace" has confirmed his appearance at the Wild Samoan Training Center for the camp. All wrestlers are welcome to try out, this is not limited to Wild Samoan Training Center students. The five day camp will begin on Tuesday, June 23, 2009.
