TNA Confirms A Release, Trish Comments On TNA Acquisition, More
>> Survivor: The Amazon Jenna Morasca discussed her new gig with TNA Wrestling in an interview with TV Guide Canada. She explains how she wound up in TNA. "I did a movie called End Game with Kurt Angle, the star of TNA," Morasca said. "He mentioned I should talk with execs at TNA to see if there was a place for me. I am athletic, I can act and I like to have fun. He thought it would be a good fit, and it was."
Morasca also commented on the possibility of wrestling down the line. "When I step in the ring to wrestle I will be fully trained and prepared," Morasca said. "I am not here to make a mockery out of the sport; I want to do it justice when I get in the ring. Don't be scared for me."
>> Former WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus offered a brief comment regarding Morasca's decision to enter the world of professional wrestling. "When she became the sole Survivor, she outwitted, and outsmarted ? these skills may have helped her be the winner in the reality world but the wrestling world is a different kind of beast," Stratus said.
>> The TNA website has quietly removed the profile of Jimmy Rave, thus confirming his departure from the organization. His tag team partner, Lance Rock, was pinned in Beer Money, Inc.'s "Off The Wagon Challenge" on iMPACT! a few weeks ago, thus explaining his storyline departure from the company. While Rave wasn't pinned, he is gone anyway. Last month, company officials decided against renewing his contract, which was set to expire sometime this month.
