Ken Shamrock Resurfaces, WWE & TNA UK Ratings, More
Credit: Wrestling Observer Newsletter
– USA Network won last week's prime time cable ratings race with a 2.3 average, followed by FOX News with a 1.9 average. Sci Fi came in 12th place with a 0.9, and Spike TV came in 18th with a 0.8. The second and third hours of last week's RAW occupy spots #1 and #2, while the first hour was at #12. It's interesting to note that if RAW was counted like every other show on TV, as one show instead of three hours, it would have placed in #4 behind In Plain Sight and two episodes of Sponge Bob.
– For the week ending in 4/12 in the UK, RAW did 66,000 viewers for the live show after WrestleMania and 49,000 for the Thursday replay. TNA iMPACT did 47,000 viewers on Bravo, and Smackdown did 44,000 viewers with another 31,000 for the replay. (Thanks to Ian Hamilton)
– A free demo version of the UFC Undisputed 2009 game will be available for download tomorrow on Xbox 360 and PS3. The full game is released on May 19th.
– Ken Shamrock recently popped up at an event for the Extreme Cage Fights group at the Palace in Auburn Hills, MI in front of 3,000 fans. He cut a promo but the sound system was too bad for much to be heard aside from him calling the football team the Detroit Bruins. The fights were all guys who were starting out their MMA careers.
