Shark Boy's 'Brother', iMPACT! Rating Update, & More
As noted yesterday here on the website, Thursday's episode of TNA iMPACT! drew a 1.23 cable rating with 1.8 million viewers. Viewership was up from last week's 1.7 million number. Jeff Jarrett vs. Scott Steiner with Mick Foley on commentary was the highest rated segment in the final quarter-hour.
At tonight's TNA live event in Youngstown, Ohio, not only will Shark Boy be fighting Brutus Magnus, but he'll also be fighting for the freedom of his "brother" Trevor, who is being held prisoner in a local aquarium. "As you can imagine, it bothers me greatly whenever a family member of mine is taken in captivity," Shark Boy said. Shark Boy then turns serious and notes that his character was inspired by the Toadies song "I Come from the Water." "The song just got me thinking it would be cool if there was a superhero who rose from the water to battle the bad guys in wrestling," he said. After seeing "Rowdy" Roddy Piper hit Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka over the head with a coconut, he started telling people he wanted to become a professional wrestler. "Enough people told me that I couldn't do it that I decided to prove them wrong," he said. You can read the Tribune Chronicle's story on Shark Boy at https://tribtoday.com/
