Promoter Greg Price released the following statement on the future of the NWA Legends Convention: "Our NWA Wrestling Legends Fanfest Weekends are more than just a name. And it's bigger than any one person or group. Our whole purpose is to celebrate wrestling's past, and in Charlotte specifically, the NWA and Jim Crockett's Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling. I'm not a lawyer but Bob Trobich is, and I'm sure he's offered his full resources to Bill McClown (aka JD Costello,) because this is a battle he's been unable to win himself for a number of years. So this year's fanfest weekend WILL be the final NWA Wrestling Legends Fanfest Weekend in Charlotte, but have no fear, our 2010 fanfest weekend WILL go on as planned and you will ALWAYS be able to find us here at the Fanfest Forum and at NWALegends.com. ALWAYS! You see, we have hundreds of folks from all over the world that treasure our weekend experience. They don't come here because of three letters out of the alphabet. There's a lot more to it than that."
