WrestleMania Headed Back To Florida?, Details Inside

The Tampa Tribune is reporting that the city of Tampa has been invited to bid on a future WrestleMania event, to take place sometime in between 2011 and 2014. The Tampa Bay & Co., Hillsborough's visitors' marketing bureau are currently preparing bids to hold WrestleMania as well as The World Cup. Orlando officials had been pushing to host WrestleMania again after the success of WrestleMania XXIV, but there is no word on if they have been invited to bid on the event.

WrestleMania XXVI is scheduled for Glendale, Arizona, but no venues have been confirmed past that event. So far, the leading candidates for WrestleMania XXVII have looked to be Las Vegas and Indianapolis.

Tampa is the home of the WWE's Developmental System, Florida Championship Wrestling.
