-The show opens with a loooong recap of the McMahon-Orton saga from last week which climaxed with the return of Batista.
-Batista opens the show with an entrance that is so long it makes The Undertaker say get on with it. Batista starts by saying he can't express how good it feels to be back, and how he missed the fans more than we missed him. How true. He says it took him four month to get back in the ring, but the one thing that drove him was retribution for the punt he suffered back in December. A recap of the incident plays, and Batista says he's replayed that moment in his head over and over again. He says the worst part was waiting to get his hands on Randy Orton. Batista says he's tired of waiting and that he's back. Batista asks Orton to stop being a punk, and come out and face him like a man. He says if Orton doesn't come out he will tear apart the arena looking for him. Orton never shows, and Batista goes to look for him, but he's interrupted by Shane McMahon. Shane welcomes Batista back, and reminds him that Orton punted him as well. He also reminds him that he did the same to his father, and worked over his sister. Shane says if anyone is getting retribution tonight its him. They argue off mic over who is getting their retribution, and then Triple H interrupts. HHH tells Shane that he needs to understand something, and that's that all of the stuff that went down is because of him. HHH says its his fault, because Orton was trying to get to the title. HHH tells Batista will all due respect to what Orton did to him he tried to take out his wife. He says he's not asking them he's telling him. HHH started it and HHH will finish it. That brings out Vickie Guerrero who seems to have toned up the "Excuse Me's" for Raw. She says the only person who will decide who gets their hands on Orton is her. She says the three of them will have their chance to get him at Backlash. She reminds them if they get over zealous and get disqualified then Orton will win the WWE Title. She tells them if they want a shot at Orton before Backlash she'll give them the opportunity, but only one of them. She has given Orton the night off, even though he is here. Tonight the three of them will face Legacy in a 3 on 2 handicap match, and if one of them get a fall they will face Orton.
Rey Mysterio (Raw) vs. Evan Bourne (ECW)
They fight over a knuckle lock to start, and Rey tries for a sunset flip. Bourne counters by slingshoting Rey to the apron. Bourne tries to sunset flip Rey onto the floor, but Rey kicks him off. Rey fires him back inside and covers for a two count. Mysterio goes for a springboard off the second rope, but runs into a spin kick from Bourne which gets him a two count. Bourne grabs a reverse chinlock, and then delivers a spin kick. Standing moonsault gets two for Bourne, and then he heads to the top. Rey meets him up there, and delivers a huge hurracanrana off the top for two. Bourne comes back with a knee, but Rey hits the ropes and gives Bourne a hurracanrana. Chokeslam finishes at :46.

Orton demands that if HHH wins tonight that the title be on the line next week. Vickie starts to say no, but Orton interrupts saying that she may have been able to do whatever she wanted on Smackdown, but this is Raw. Orton says he's been here longer than her, and the board of directors are watching her every move. He says they will not be happy. Chavo tries to interrupt, but Orton tells him to shut up. Vickie tells him she'll be fair, and if Rhodes and Dibiase win then Legacy faces the loser in a 3 on 1 match next week.
-Jack Swagger interrupts John Cena in the back to tell him he is the future of the WWE and tonight when the beats him and earns two draft picks for ECW then the WWE will have a new poster boy. Cena laughs it off, and introduces himself with a handshake. Cena says he's Jack Swagger, the All-American. Swagger corrects him and says he's the All-American American which leads to a short Who's on First bit. Cena finally gets it, and informs him how stupid it sounds. He compares it to him saying The Champ is here here, or you can't see me me. Cena says he knows who he is, but he knows he's a punk kid who likes to run his mouth. Tonight Cena will give him a lesson in respect?respect.
Michelle McCool, Natalya, & Maryse (Smackdown) vs. Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, & Melina (Raw)

Swagger takes Cena down again with a double leg, and grabs a front facelock. Swagger lets him go, and takes a moment to pose. Cena answers with a right hand, and then a shoulderblock sends Swagger to the floor. Cena follows out after him, and delivers a clothesline before firing Swagger back inside for two. Winner: John Cena (Submission-STF ***)
Fourth Pick: Matt Hardy (From Smackdown to Raw)
Fifth Pick: Triple H (From Smackdown to Raw)
-After the HHH pick, which makes me question if they're TRYING to get Smackdown cancelled, he stares down Cena from the ramp. That allows Edge to sneak attack Cena from behind. Cena fights right back and goes for the AA, but Edge is able to escape.
-Orton is in the locker room and has a word with Rhodes and Dibiase. He reminds them of the stips tonight, and wants to know their strategy. Rhodes says create more animosity between them, and Dibiase says they're planning on winning by DQ because they're all hot heads. He also says that's how he'll win the WWE Title at Backlash. Orton says he likes it.
Santino walks to the ring for a match as we go to commercial.
Santino Marella (Raw) vs. The Great Khali (Smackdown)
Well it's the rematch we've waited years for. Or three days. Well at least Smackdown will get a pick. Beth Phoenix comes out before the bell with Rosa, and lets Santino know that she talked to Vickie earlier. Tonight if Khali beats Santino then Santina will be a guest on the Khali Kiss cam next week. Santino stalls screaming he's not ready, and then gets up in Khali's?chest. Santino gets thrown to the mat, and then clutches the ropes as Khali tries to choke him. Santino hits the ropes, but runs right into a shoulder block from Khali. Brain chop finishes at 1:03.

Big brawl to start. Stunning I know. Impossible to recap, but you know how these works. Lots of guys punch and kick and hang out on the ropes. Henry tosses Shad, and Show fires Primo out. R-Truth gets tossed at the hands of Henry, and Show tosses Kidd. Henry throws R-Truth out, and JTG goes out as well thanks to the silverback. Tenth Pick: Vladimir Kozlov (From Smackdown to ECW)
-Shane and HHH are in the back, and Shane says Orton is his. HHH says we talked about this earlier, and he needs to stay out his way because Orton is his. Jericho chokes Tommy with the boot, and then hits the rope dropping down on the neck of Dreamer which sat on the second rope. Jericho grabs a crossface half nelson, but Tommy comes out of that with a series of elbows. Tommy connects with a pair of clotheslines, and then ties Jericho up in the tree of woe. Twelfth Pick: Intercontinental Champion-Rey Mysterio (From Raw to Smackdown)
Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes vs. Shane McMahon, Batista, and HHH
Shane, Batista and Hunter break up each others pin attempts because all 3 men want to face Orton next week. Batista hits the Batista Bomb on DiBiase, Shane breaks up the pin attempt, Batista and Shane then begin to fight, Triple H tags himself in, hits the Pedigree on DiBiase and picks up the victory, so next week it will be Triple H vs. Randy Orton. Orton males his way onto the stage. Triple H and Orton stare each other down as Raw comes to a close.
