Major TNA Slammiversary Discount, Taz On Angle, Bischoff, More

TNA Wrestling issued the following press release this morning, announcing that the company will be offering $7 tickets for next month's Slammiversary PPV: DETROIT, May 18 /PRNewswire/ — Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling is offering an unprecedented $7 ticket plan in honor of its "Slammiversary 7" live pay-per-view event Sunday June 21, at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Michigan. TNA President Dixie Carter confirmed today that a limited number of special $7 "Slammiversary 7" tickets will be sold to celebrate the event. "In honor of TNA's seventh anniversary, we're happy to offer tickets to 'Slammiversary 7' starting at $7 while supplies last," Carter said. "We know this is a tough time economically for everyone. TNA Wrestling has always enjoyed success in Detroit and Michigan, and 'Slammiversary' will mark the first time TNA has brought a pay-per-view event to the same city twice. We believe in Detroit and its great pro wrestling fans." "Slammiversary 7" will mark the 7th anniversary of TNA Wrestling and TNA's return to the Motor City area. TNA took its live pay-per-view events out of the "iMPACT Zone" in Orlando, Florida and on the road to Novi, Michigan for "Bound For Glory" in 2006. The stars of "TNA iMPACT!" Live Nation, the former Clear Channel Entertainment, have called both Eric Bischoff and Bill Behrens as expert witnesses in regards to the lawsuit brought against the company by Sal Corrente's WrestleReunion event. The lawsuit was filed in November 2007. WrestleReunion, LLC alleges breach of contract, suffered damages including "loss of revenue, incurred expenses, loss of profits, and loss of business opportunities after they signed a contract with Clear Channel Entertainment Television. WrestleReunion states that Clear Channel Entertainment Television failed to properly market or distribute the 2004 and 2005 events, and also that hours of footage are missing, including two days worth of interviews that were filmed for a documentary as well as a Mick Foley comedy show. Wrestlereunion has enlisted both Colin Bowman and Jimmy Hart as their own expert witnesses. According to collected documents, the project claims to have lost over $500,000.
