News On The Rock, SD! To MTV?, Liddell - Dana Controversy, Last Chance To Win Bret DVD & More
* WrestlingINC.com reader Eric sent along word that he was filling out a survey at OTX and was asked a bunch of questions about how he'd feel about WWE Smackdown airing on MTV. WWE has said that they have a Plan A and a Plan B should MyNetworkTV fold, however I think moving Smackdown! to MTV (which is owned by Viacom) would violate WWE's agreement with the USA Network.
* Dwayne Johnson has been nominated for an MTV Movie Award in the 'Best Villain' category for his performance in Get Smart. He faces stiff competiton, as Heath Ledger is also nominated for his performace in The Dark Knight. Other nominees include Derek Mears (Friday The 13th), Johnathon Schaech (Prom Night) and Luke Goss (Hellboy II: The Golden Army). (Thanks to Robert O)
* FightLine.com has more on the back and forth between UFC President Dana White and Chuck Liddell's close friend and trainer, John Hackleman, today. Dana White has been insisting that Liddell is retired following his first round KO loss to 'Shogun' Rua last month. Hackleman continues to note that Liddell has not made a decision and may go elsewhere if the UFC doesn't allow him to fight. White ripped Hackleman, suggesting that he was not looking out for Liddell and was just looking for another payday. Hackleman shot back at White today, saying that "I'm not a psychiatrist, but there might be some serious anger issues I mean you've heard him go on rants before with his f this, f that, f this, f that, b—- this, b—- that. Maybe there are some anger issues and maybe some Paxil might be in line." He goes on to say that is his mom were around, she'd wash his mouth out with soap.
