The Undertaker Undergoes Surgery, Flair/ROH/NYC Update, More

The Undertaker has undergone hip surgery, according to ProWrestling.net. He had been suffering from hip and back pain for several months and the hope is that the surgery will eliminate the pain in both areas.

Ric Flair will be special guest referee for the ROH World Title match in New York City on 6/13. ROH champ Jerry Lynn will defend against Austin Aries. Nigel McGuinness will be ringside to watch the match.

Ric Flair will appear at the May 29th tapings. His current role with WWE, for now, will not change his schedule with ROH this summer.

Scheduled for the tapings this weekend are: Nigel McGuinness, Jimmy Rave, Brodie Lee, D'Lo Brown, Kenny Omega, Sara Del Rey, Silas Young, The Necro Butcher, The Young Bucks, Eddie Kingston, Brent Albright, Erick Stevens, Rhett Titus, Kenny King, Jimmy Jacobs, Claudio Castagnoli, Delirious, Daizee Haze and MsChif.

After taking time off due to injury and only working a few small shows, Nigel McGuinness makes his return to the company this weekend. He is also scheduled for the Detroit and Chicago shows in June.

It looks as if El Generico will tough it out for right now, but he will likely have to undergo knee surgery down the line.

Judging by the recent booking, Austin Aries and Tyler Black are being positioned for the top of the cards in the next several months.
