- From the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif.

- Jim Ross is on commentary due to Jerry Lawler being involved in the main event.

- Nuggets owner "E. Stan Kroenke" makes his way to the ring. We are shown the "Denver Debacle" media attention from the past week. Stan says he doesn't care about the WWE or its fans and has more important things to do with his time than worry about them. He says his team will win. Mr. McMahon makes his way to the ring, he says he is starting his own Professional Basketball league, the XBA! He says however, it will never work because Kroenke and his staff will be running it! McMahon says he doesn't trust people with an in initial for a first name. He says the E stands for Enis, which rhymes with such things as Venis and Genius, but Kroenke definitely isn't one of those! McMahon says Kroenke has been pushing around the WWE Universe, but when they get pushed, they push back, McMahon then pushes Kroenke to the mat! He leaves and The Miz arrives, Miz runs down the Lakers and their fans, he then runs down John Cena again, calling him a fake, Cena comes to the ring with no fanfare. Before he can get to Miz, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase attack him, this brings out Batista, which brings out Big Show, which brings out Jerry Lawler, Cena and Batista knock Show out of the ring to end the segment.

(1) Divas Championship ? Maryse vs. Kelly Kelly
Cole says this is Kelly's first ever championship match, I'm sure she's competed for the Women's title before? Lilian bills Maryse from Montreal, Ontario, Canada?! Both women fight to the outside, Maryse attacks Kelly on the announce table and then shoves her over it, the referee disqualifies Maryse, Kelly wins, Maryse retains.

- Backstage the Bella Twins are talking to Jack Nicholson; Goldust approaches and does some acting with Hornswoggle. Goldy is going his comedy spasms in his speech as his did a few years back when he was electrocuted!

- We are shown the Ric Flair-Randy Orton confrontation from last week. Backstage Ric Flair is getting ready, Batista walks in, he says why doesn't Flair call out Orton the night after Extreme Rules after Batista has destroyed him in a steel cage. Flair says Batista will look at him one minute and call him a legend and then the next minute be concerned about him getting beaten up. Flair says if he doesn't like it them don't watch it, he's a 16-time World Champion, and tonight, he's gonna prove it.

(2) Triple Threat Match ? Winner receives a US Championship match next week ? Matt Hardy vs. William Regal vs. Kofi Kingston
Hardy is outside for the beginning of the match nursing his broken hand. US Champion MVP makes his way to ringside. MVP is now on commentary. He says he wants to face the best of the best. Hardy hits the Side Affect on both Regal and Kingston but only gets 2's. Kingston hits Regal with the Trouble in Paradise. Hardy breaks up the pin attempt. Hardy sizes up Kingston to hit him with his cast, Kingston avoids and his Trouble in Paradise for the victory. He now faces MVP next week for the gold. MVP and Kingston exchange words after the match.

- Ric Flair is walking backstage, he confronts the WWE Champion next.

Flair confronts Orton
"Nature Boy" Ric Flair makes his way to the ring. He says he was sucker punched last week by the WWE Champion. He says it reminded him of what happened with Jericho, and that's not gonna happen again. He calls out Orton and dares him to punch him while he's looking. Orton make his way to the ring, he says he lowered himself last week by punching a 60-year-old washed up wrestler. Orton says he's starting to feel sorry for Ric, Batista feels sorry for Ric, and event he fans are starting to feel sorry for him. Orton tells Flair its over, it was over 6 years a go in Evolution, and its still over now. Flair slaps Orton around the face, Orton attacks Flair, Batista makes the save, Flair tries to go after Orton but Batista holds him back. From the entrance way Orton tells Batista that after Extreme Rules, it will be over for him too. Mr. Kennedy's music hits, he make his way to the stage and a mic drops down for him, he introduces himself as future WWE Champion and tells us he'll be the 5th Player for the Laker's in tonight's main event! Orton stares at Kennedy and Leaves, Kennedy does his "Mr. Kennedy?Kennedy" bit.

(3) Mixed Tag Team Match ? Winning team decides the stipulation for the Vickie Guerrero vs. Santina Marella "Miss WrestleMania" match at Extreme Rules ? Santino Marella & Mickie James vs. Chavo Guerrero & Beth Phoenix w/ Rosa Mendes
Short match, James pins Phoenix. After the match, "Miss WrestleMania" Vickie Guerrero is on the stage, she says she doesn't care what match type Santino chooses, because she will have Chavo in her corner. Santino decides Vickie and her sister will compete in a Hog Pen match! So Vickie can "be with the pigs!" Santino does his pig impression, Vickie looks disgusted.

- Backstage Big Show tells Miz he doesn't like him, but will allow Miz to mix it up with Cena in the ring tonight. He tells Miz not to pin Cena, no one pins Cena, because at Extreme Rules, he's gonna make Cena tap. Show begins to walk away, Miz says "just like you did at Judgment Day?!" Show comes back and says "you say something?" Miz replies no. Show says "didn't think so!"

- We are shown the McMahon-Kroenke confrontation from earlier.

(4) Goldust & Hornswoggle vs. The Brain Kendrick & Festus
Primo & Carlito are on commentary, another week with no title defense then! Festus gets mad when Kendrick shouts at him, Festus refuses to tag in, Kendrick slaps Festus, referee prevents Festus from attacking Kendrick. Distraction allows Hornswoggle to hit the Tadpole Splash on Kendrick, followed by the Final Cut from Goldust and the victory. Bell rings and Festus goes back to his comatose state. Kendrick gets a steel chair and attempts to hit Festus with it but Primo rings the bell and Festus chases Kendrick away!

- J.R. and Cole run down the current Extreme Rules card.

(5) The Denver Nuggets ? The Miz, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, Big Show & WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. The Los Angeles Lakers ? US Champion MVP, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler, Mr. Kennedy, John Cena & Batista
All involved are wearing their respective jerseys. The Lakers PA announcer handles the introductions! Lawler's attire is gold and blue, Cena has blue and gold wrist and headbands, Batista comes out in complete Lakers attire.

The jerseys all have the respective guys name on the back. The Lakers pick up the win when MVP pins Cody Rhodes after the Playmaker. After the match, DiBiase hits MVP with Dream Street, Kennedy hits DiBiase with the Mic Check, Orton hits Kennedy with an RKO, Batista then goes for a Batista Bomb on Orton, Big Show breaks it up, Orton escapes, Batista and Cena hit Show with a double vertical suplex. The Lakers team all celebrate in the ring as Raw goes off air?
