Backstage Details On Batista's Injury, Surgery & More
Credit: PWInsider.com
Batista apparently went into last night's "Extreme Rules" PPV steel cage match with Randy Orton with a torn biceps muscle. The injury was the reason the match was kept to just over seven minutes.
Batista was officially diagnosed earlier today with a torn tendon in his biceps. The good news is the injury isn't a full-fledged muscle tear, which means less time on the shelf.
The tear is believed to have occured about three weeks ago. The cause is apparently just wear and tear.
Batista is set to undergo surgery tomorrow to repair the torn tendon. No word is in yet on how much time Batista will miss, but those in WWE are hoping it will be minimal, while yesterday they were expecting worse.
