Update Batista's WWE Contract Situation, Flair, Foley, More
If you recall, Batista took part in a few interviews during a media tour of the UK last month stating he had roughly a year left on his current contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. "The Animal" added he was contemplating retiring when his contract expires. Considering WWE.com is reporting that he will be out at least four months following biceps surgery, the time he misses away from the ring will be tacked onto his current deal. WWE contracts are set in a way that it gives the company the right to add the amount of time a wrestler misses due to injury to the end of their contracts. For instance, should Batista miss six months of action while recovering from the surgery, company officials have the right to add six months to his contract. {source: prowrestling.NET}
Ric Flair will be appearing at a Republican Fundraiser in Kings Mountain, North Carolina tomorrow. He will be joined by former Arkansas Governor/Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee.
Mick Foley announced on his MySpace Blog that he is working on his fourth autobiography, this one titled Crossing the Line. Grand Central Publishing, which handled Chris Jericho's first autobiography and is also handling his second one, will publish the Foley book. This will be Foley's first autobiography not published by Simon & Shuster. I think most of you will enjoy the new book I'm working on, "Crossing the Line", which is coming along nicely. As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I will try to give out a little sample here and there – which is the case this week, as I update lists of favorite things from "Foley is Good", in a chapter I will call, "A Few of my Favorite Things". This past weekend, I was thrilled to visit Santa's Village, along with Storyland and Six Gun City in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Many of you know of my fondness for Santa"s Village from past books, so I won't get into that here. Instead, I'd like to write about Knoebel's Grove Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pa. – an incredible place I visited with two of my children a week earlier. So here it is, a sneak peek at "A Few of My Favorite Things", from "Crossing the Line" to be published in the winter/spring of 2010 by Grand Central Publishing.
