WWE Changes Two More PPV Names, Lashley Vs. Sapp Tonight
Mike sent us word that during Superstars this week a video package aired focusing on recently released WWE wrestler Umaga as a featured star on the show. This comes just weeks after his release from the company so it was an odd slip up.
A promo aired late Friday night/early Saturday morning on DirecTV hyping tomorrow night's WWE The Bash PPV and promoted the Randy Orton vs. Triple H match for the WWE Championship as a Last Man Standing match and not a "3 Stages of Hell" match. This was probably to be expected given the storyline changes over the last two weeks involving the match.
Luke Price sent this in: I have just been onto the WWE homepage & noticed that No Mercy & Cyber Sunday have been replaced by 2 new PPV's called Hell in a Cell & Annihilation. Note from Ryan Clark: Hell in a Cell takes place October 4, while Annihilation takes place on October 25. These names had been previously issued out by WWE in a survey to fans.
The much anticipated MMA fight between former WWE star Bobby Lashley and Bob Sapp takes place tonight in Biloxi, MS at the "Ultimate Chaos" event live on Pay Per View being promoted by Prize Fights and Fight Force International. Lashley enters the fight 3-0 in his MMA career with a recent victory over Mike Cook this past May 15. Sapp comes into the fight 10-4-1 in his MMA career with a recent submission loss to Ikuhisa Minowa at Dream 9 on May 26. We will have results up of the fight late Saturday night on our newsboard.
