UFC 100 To Draw 1+ Million Buys, Ezekiel Jackson Returns
– The UFC 100 PPV tomorrow night is expected to draw well over one million buyrates. The number will likely be closer to 1.5 million and will be the highest ever for a UFC PPV event. The main event features Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir with co-main events of Thiago Alvez vs. Georges St. Peirre and Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping.
– FightLine.com has an interview with UFC President Dana White. He talked about his aspirations for the UFC, and said that one day it will be bigger than the NFL or World Cup soccer. For the full interview, which includes him talking about the UFC adopting WWE's house show model, check out FightLine.com by clicking here.
– As seen last night on ECW, Ezekiel Jackson made his debut on the brand, defeating local competitor Jack Meridol. Jackson had not appeared on television since the April 3, 2009 episode of SmackDown, which saw him lose to Jeff Hardy. Jackson was drafted to the ECW brand two weeks later as part of the 2009 Supplemental Draft, therefore breaking up the team of himself and The Brian Kendrick. Without debuting for the brand, however, Jackson returned to Florida Championship Wrestling for further training, where he largely squashed wrestlers.
– Besides JTG, other WWE stars to pay tribute to Michael Jackson on last week's episode of SmackDown were R-Truth and Melina. R-Truth wore a single white glove whereas Melina wore a white glove with the fingers partially cut out.
