WWE Lawsuit Update, Regis Philbin Puts Over WWE, More
– Tonight's RAW is the go-home show for this Sunday's WWE Night Of Champions PPV event in Philadelphia. All that has been announced so far is that ZZ Top will be the guest hosts, but we should have more on the show later this evening.
– Today WWE is required to respond to Joe Hamilton and Deep South Wrestling's lawsuit regarding them dropping the DSW developmental deal.
– Eric Lewis sent this report: Regis Philbin talked on Live with Regis & Kelly this morning about he and his wife Joy having dinner with Vince and Linda McMahon in New York on Saturday night. He didn't say much other than to put over McMahon as a great promoter who is the "villain" in the centre of it all. Philbin also put over wrestling in general, saying it was great entertainment, and how one of his first guests on his old talk show several years ago was a wrestler named The Destroyer. Apparently, The Destroyer is now 90 and he still wears a mask anytime he goes out to watch wrestling anywhere.
– Hell has frozen over in MMA. After years of publicly feuding, UFC President Dana White and Tito Ortiz have made amends and have ended their feud. FightLine.com has an article with quotes from both Ortiz and Dana talking about how they have squashed their beef. For the full article, which includes a video of the last time Ortiz and Dana were at the same place at the UFC 84 post-fight press conference in May of 2008 where they looked like they wanted to kill each other, check out FightLine.com by clicking here.
