Bruno Calls Hogan A 'Chemical Freak', The Rock, UFC's Real Offer To Fedor & More

" Bruno Sammartino was on one of the local Pittsburgh stations last week and made some interesting comments. He called Hulk Hogan a "chemical freak", and wanted no part of being mentioned with other "legends". He stated that he "wrestled Madison Square Garden 211 times and Hogan only did about 20, because Hogan had no talent and when you saw him once, the next time you saw him, it was the same thing."

He continued to be critical of the business today, even though he mentioned that he never watches wrestling and hasn't for many years. He said that Vince McMahon ruined the business and that he can't believe that he would take it to the level where there were kids in the audience and every other word on TV had to be bleeped out. Bruno also said that "the older guys like myself used to wonder and be afraid of where he would take the business to if Vince Sr. ever passed because of how 'wierd' Vince was." (Thanks To Shaun)

" The Rock's latest movie, Race To Witch Mountain, debuted on DVD this past week and is the #2 rental in the country behind Obsessed. Both DVDs released on the same day.

" I have an article on FightLine.com talking about the real deal that the UFC presented Fedor Emelianenko, and details of his current deal with Strikeforce. In it, it's noted that Fedor was offered an immediate title shot with Brock Lesnar, with M-1 Global receiving a cut of the Lesnar – Fedor PPV (which would likely be the biggest PPV in MMA history) on top of Fedor's salary. If the show did a number similar to UFC 100 – 1.5 million buys – he'd have pocketed more than $5 million, the biggest one-night payoff in the history of the sport, in addition to M-1 Global's take.
