Nancy O'Dell Headed To WWE, Don West/TNA Update, Cade, More

? A number of former WWE stars are scheduled to take part in the 2009 Dennis Coralluzzo Invitational on September 26 at the PAL in Wayne, New Jersey including Afa Jr. (formerly known as Manu), Lance Cade, Al Snow, Mike Mondo (formerly known as Mikey from the Spirit Squad) and The Powers of Pain (Warlord and Barbarian). Visit www.NWANJ.com for more information on this upcoming event.

? Pro Wrestling Illustrated has named Mickie James number one in the second annual PWI Female 50, which ranks the best 50 women's wrestlers in the United States in 2009. James succeeds multiple time TNA Women's Knockout Champion Awesome Kong, who was ranked first in last year's chart. The complete list will be revealed when the November 2009 issue of Pro Wrestling Illustrated hits newsstands on September 15th. To see the cover of next month's issue, visit www.pwi-online.com.

? As reported earlier, Don West has been removed from the TNA broadcast team so that he can focus more on TNA's merchandising. West was at the iMPACT! tapings this week and filmed vignettes to promote various TNA products. TNA is hoping to use West's background in sales and collectibles to push TNA into new areas and create new collectible items.

? Nancy O'Dell of Access Hollywood will be doing her RAW guest hosting stint as a way to raise awareness for Lou Gehrig's disease as she heads up a non-profit group that battles the disease. O'Dell's mother died from the disease. She appeared on Fox & Friends to discuss the appearance. I'm told she'll also appear at SummerSlam as a backstage announcer.
