New Japan/TNA Problems Resolved?, SD! Rating, ECW/SD! Tonight

New Japan Pro Wrestling is now officially recognizing TNA's British Invasion (Brutus Magnus and Doug Williams) as the 53rd generation IWGP Tag Team Champions. This is a change from last week when New Japan issued a statement saying they were not acknowledging the title change on iMPACT! two weeks ago with The British Invasion defeating Team 3D to become the new IWGP Tag Team Champions and that 3D were still the reigning champions. While it isn't known why the company changed their stance so quickly, the belief is that some outside pressure caused them to do so.

Grash sent this in: IMDB page for Tekken was updated with Batista in the role of King. King is the name of two different characters in the Tekken fighting game series. The character was inspired by both legendary Japanese pro wrestler Tiger Mask, as well as Mexican wrestler Fray Tormenta, who just happened to be a Catholic priest who became a masked wrestler in order to support an orphanage. Both Characters wear a realistic Jaguar Mask into the ring.

WWE will be holding TV tapings for WWE Superstars, Friday Night Smackdown and ECW on Sci Fi tonight in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Scheduled for Smackdown is CM Punk vs. John Morrison. Scheduled for tonight's broadcast of ECW on SyFy is ECW Champion Christian as a special guest on The Abraham Washington Show.

Friday Night Smackdown on 8/7 scored a 1.9 broadcast rating with a 4 share. The number is down from the previous week's 2.0 rating.
