TNA iMPACT TV Results (8/13) ? Morgan Wins The Best Of Three

Welcome back to your weekly TNA iMPACT TV Results. This week's episode is entitled ?

"The Future is Now"

Tenay opens the show by promting Hard Justice and that we will see the third in the best of three series between A.J and Matt Morgan for the chance to face Kurt Angle and Sting in a three way dance for the title.

Match 1 ? Christy Hemme vs. SoJo Bolt

They're getting right into the action this week, with the ladies trading headlocks. Your basic chick fight with some forearm shots, Irish whips and hair pulling. Each tries to go for a pin with no luck. SoJo with a nice sling shot elbow to Hemme. Looks like we've got some botched moves as well. I guess that's what happens when you start with a match that features someone who's been out of action since January. It looks like SoJo is gonna go for a Superplex off the top rope, but she gets tossed off by Hemme who hits the FFG.

Winner: Christy Hemme

Tenay promos Hard Justice and then runs down the card for the night. As we head to commercial, we see Matt Morgan and A.J. making their way inside the building for their Main Event match tonight.

Back from the break and Lauren is backstage with Taz. She wants to know what he thinks about Samoa Joe's match with Homicide for the X-Division title at Hard Justice. Taz says that because Joe lost his match to Hernandez a few weeks back, Joe is going to take it out on Homicide.

Match 2 ? Doug Williams (w/ the British Invasion) vs. Hernandez

Hernandez is dominating Williams. Hits a backbreaker and goes for the pin and gets a two count. Brutus Magnus distracts Hernandez and Williams gets the upper hand. USA chant from the crowd as Williams has Hernandez's throat across the ropes. After a two count, Williams hits Hernandez with knees in the back. Williams goes to the top rope for a back splash and misses, which allows Hernandez to gain some momentum. Hernandez hits a sit out power bomb to get the win.

But Hernandez is sticking his tongue out while pinning Williams. Doesn't look sanitary.

Winner: Hernandez

Brutus Magnus comes in the ring to attack Hernandez, but gets squashed. Big Rob Terry comes in and hits Hernandez with the case and the British Invasion heads up the ramp as we go to a commercial.

When we come back Hernandez is in the back with Lauren and he doesn't seem happy that he was attacked by Rob Terry. Although, I'm not sure what he's saying because it's all in Spanish.

Tenay is interviewing Bobby Lashley and asks how the transition from pro wrestling to MMA has been. He says he's always wanted to compete and MMA was just another way for him to do that. He loves pro wrestling and wants to continue doing both. He looks forward tot he day that he takes on Kurt Angle.

After the interview, J.B. is backstage with Daffney and Dr. Stevie. Borash wants to know about the $50,000 bounty on Abyss. Stevie says it isn't about finding Abyss, it's about hurting him and ending his career. But then Abyss shows up and chokes Stevie saying that he can't do his own dirty work. It looks like Abyss is going to take out Stevie, but then, Jethro Holliday shows up and hits Abyss with a chair about 19 times. I counted.

After a commercial break, we are subjected to more Lauren and her lousy interview skills. She's talking to Tara about Awesome Kong and her match tonight with Kong, Angelina Love and ODB.

Match 3 ? Rhino and Jesse Neal vs. Eric Young and Sheik Abdul Bashir (w/ Kiyoshi)

Young and Neal start us off and after a shoulder block by Neal, he takes control and tags in Rhino. Shoulder block by Rhino who goes for a pin and gets a two count. Rhino tags in Neal, but E.Y. gets the upper hand and tags in Bashir who hits Neal with some kicks in the corner. Neal is taking a beating as Bashir and Young show some good tag team skills, strong moves and quick tags. Rhino wants back in, but Neal has no chance of getting to the corner. Young to the second rope, but he's caught with a boot when he jumps. Neal gets up and instead of getting to the corner to make the tag, he goes and hits Bashir off the apron. Young gets the roll up for the pin.

Winners: Eric Young and Sheik Abdul Bashir

After the match, Rhino tries to tell Neal what he's done wrong, but Jesse doesn't want to listen. So what does Rhino do? Gives him a nice smack in the face and then hits him with a Gore as we head to commercial.

More Lauren backstage? Ugh! She's asking Rhino why he went nuts and he says it's because Jesse is making Rhino look like a fool. Rhino's put his life into wrestling and the last thing he's about to do is let Jesse Neal screw that up.

Match 4 ? ODB (w/Cody Deaner) vs. Awesome Kong (w/Raisha Saeed) vs. Angelina Love (w/ the Beautiful People) vs. Tara (w/Poison)

Don West is talking about a conversation he had with Velvet Sky as he was making breakfast for her. Doesn't take much for Don to sound creepy. We're under way and Tara goes after Kong while ODB goes after Angelina. Back body drop by ODB while Kong and Tara trade shots in the corner. After both Angelina and Kong head outside the ring, Tara and ODB head to the top rope and jump on everyone outside.

Let's break this up with a commercial, shall we?

When we come back, Kong and Tara are still going at it. Tara rolls out and pulls Kong out with her. As a result, Angelina and ODB make their way back in. See how that works? Love hits her with a bicycle kick, but ODB gets up and hits Love with a running power slam. Kong hits ODB with a chokeslam and Deaner gets up on the apron to try and save ODB. He lays one on Kong who doesn't seemed to be into the Deaner and she hits him with an Awesome Bomb. Tara comes in and rolls up Kong for the win.

Winner: Tara

Lauren is backstage with A.J. and Sting as Styles prepares for his final match with Matt Morgan. Sting knows that he will be outnumbered if he has to face Kurt and Morgan at Hard Justice. Styles says that tonight, he'll either be a winner or a loser. Wow, great insight.

After another commercial, J.B. is talking with 3D. Brother Ray has a match with Scott Steiner tonight. Devon says that while Harlem Heat and the Steiner Brothers may have been some great tag teams, Team 3D is the best of all time.

Match 5 ? Brother Ray (w/ Devon) vs. Scott Steiner (w/ Booker T and Sharmell) No DQ

In the ring, Steiner takes control and spits at Devon. Classy Scotty. Steiner with a suplex and a two count. Ray gets some momentum and whips Steiner into the corner for a splash. Bubba Bomb. Ray goes for the pin, but Book breaks it up. Devon comes in and hits Booker, while Ray hits Scotty with a body slam. Wassup on Steiner and Ray calls for the tables. The British Invasion make their way to the ring and distract 3D and Booker tosses Devon out of the ring. Double chokeslam on Ray through the table. Steiner gets the three count.

Winner: Scott Steiner

We're back from a commercial and Mick Foley and Kevin Nash are in the ring to sign the contract for the match they'll have Sunday at Hard Justice for the Legend's title. Big Sexy is wearing a sweet suit. Where do you get something in his size? Gotta be custom made right?

Foley is making his final comments before the match and Mick is surprised that everything with Nash revolves around the money. Nash says that because Foley has the belt, Nash probably made $20,000 less than he could of at his last autograph signing. Kevin also takes his shirt off to show Mick how buff he is. For a 50-year old dude, Nash is jacked. He's like the modern day Jack LaLanne. Foley says that he wrestles because he has a passion for it. He isn't in it for the money. He says that he'll even put himself through the table in the ring for free, which he proceeds to do. Nash just laughs in shock.

We come back from the break and West and Iron Mike run down the card for Hard Justice. Then we go backstage to Lauren who's with the Blueprint. He says that tonight he is guaranteeing victory in his match with A.J. Styles.

After the commercial, Tenay and West recap the past two matches between A.J. and Morgan.

Match 6 ? A.J. Styles vs. Matt Morgan (Third in the best of three)

Sting and Angle are ringside.

Styles gets the upper hand to start throwing Morgan out of the ring and follows him out by somersaulting over the top rope on top of him. Styles throws Morgan back in the ring and locks on the figure four. Morgan grabs the bottom rope and Styles breaks the hold. Morgan gets the advantage, but looks like he's favoring his leg. Morgan catches Styles with a huge boot in the chest. Uh oh ? the elbow pads are coming off. Rapid fire elbows in the corner. Morgan is still favoring the leg, but manages to drape Styles over the top rope and hits him with the leg. Back body drop by Morgan for a two count. Sting is trying to pump up A.J. as Morgan argues with the ref. Doesn't seem to be doing much as Styles is still taking a pounding. Morgan tries to hit A.J. with a boot in the corner but misses and Styles gets the upper hand. Kick to the head and a springboard onto Morgan. Both men are beat up and after gaining an advantage, Morgan heads to the top rope. A.J. hits the Pele kick and knocks Morgan down, but only gets a two count. Sick Carbon Footprint by Morgan and he gets the three count.

Winner: Matt Morgan

MEM heads to the ring and Angle grabs a mic as we go to commercial.

We're back and Kurt says that he wants to congratulate Morgan, but he really wants Morgan to lay down and help Angle retain the title. Morgan says there's no chance of that happening and that on Sunday, he's going to walk out the new Heavyweight champ.

We close out the show with a promo for Hard Justice that runs down the card for Sunday.

I like the way the big storylines have progressed for the PPV. I never thought Morgan was going to win that match against A.J. and if his turn on the MEM is true, it could make for a great main event.

It was also nice to see some faces that haven't been around in a while. Bashir wrestled for the first time in what seems like a year, Christy Henne made it back and got a win and Rhino finally ended his relationship with Jesse Neal. Seriously, where was that ever going? Looking forward to the PPV on Sunday.

Until next time!
