TNA iMPACT TV Results (8/20) ? Matt Morgan Wants Revenge/A.J. Tries To Quit

Welcome back to your weekly TNA iMPACT TV Results. This week's episode is entitled ?

"Blueprint for Disaster"

Tenay starts the show by saying that Don West has moved on to take a job in the merchandising department. His replacement? Taz.

No farewell speech? No big sendoff? It's probably better that way because West would have made it awkward with some of his comments I'm sure.

Tenay is excited to hear what Taz thinks about all the TNA talent and Taz sounds like he's ready to break it down.

The Main Event Mafia's music hits and they all make their way down to the ring.

Surprise! Angle has a mic. But before he can finish a sentence, Matt Morgan's music hits and he's headed down the ramp with what appears to be an axe handle.

Morgan starts by telling Kurt to shut up and threatens to hit Booker T with the axe handle. The crowd sounds like they're behind Morgan. The Blueprint wants to know why Angle screwed him and double crossed him when Morgan was just about to have Sting pinned for the three count.

Angle says he pulled the ref out because he thought Sting was about to get the win. Angle goes on to say that Morgan made a rookie mistake and that when Kurt tried to hit Sting with the chair, Matt got in the way and Kurt just pinned the fallen opponent. To make it up to the Blueprint, Angle says the two of them are going to have a tables match with Team 3D tonight. Morgan agrees to the match, but I have to think he's setting Kurt up.

Backstage Lauren is running after A.J. Styles who supposedly has a big announcement to make tonight. He says nothing as we head to commercial.

We're back and the British Invasion is already in the ring for a match with Beer Money Inc.

Match 1 ? The British Invasion vs. Beer Money Inc.

The Invasion is looking up the ramp for Beer Money and don't see them coming through the crowd. Brutus Magnus has a trash can smashed onto his head and then he gets hit with the kendo stick. Roode heads out of the ring to beat up on Magnus as Storm takes care of Doug Williams in the ring. Roode and Storm are choking Magnus and Williams with belts. Beer Money outside the ring with a double suplex on Magnus.

Williams comes out to save Magnus and sends Storm into the ring post twice. Storm then gets tied up to the ring post on the outside. No DQ in this match. Did I mention that?

The Invasion then double teams Roode in the ring. Trashcan and lid to the face of Roode. Magnus then grabs a plastic bag, but before he can wrap it around Roode's head, Storm makes his way in and hits Williams with a board. Storm continues to clean house as Roode gets it back together. Storm hits Williams with a beer bottle and knocks him out as Beer Money hits the DWI on Magnus on top of a trashcan for the three count.

Winners: Beer Money Inc.

Lauren is backstage with the Beautiful People. Angelina says that she didn't lose the Knockouts Title. It was Madison Rayne who lost it and tonight, they are going to get back at her.

When we come back from commercial, J.B. is talking backstage with Foley when ODB and Cody Deaner show up arguing about the Knockouts Title. Cody says he got the pin, so the belt should be his. ODB says she should be the champ. Foley says he will make a decision later about the situation.

Abyss then shows up and Mick has something for him since Abyss helped Foley in his match with Kevin Nash. It's a blue flannel shirt and Abyss seems happy as a clam about it.

We head back to the announce table as Taz and Tenay run down the card for the evening.

Match 2 ? Madison Rayne vs. Angelina Love w/Velvet Sky

Before we get underway, Angelina hits Madison from behind and throws her into the steps on the outside. Angelina continues to whoop up on her outside the ring, knocking her face into the ring apron. Love throws Rayne in the ring and gets the three count. That was quick!

As Love puts a brown paper bag over Madison's head, Tara and Christy Hemme run down to the ring to make a save. Looks like we'll have a little tag feud between the ladies.

After the break, we have a Motor City Machine Guns promo. Here's the gist ? they're upset that they haven't been on TV in a while and since their paychecks have basically disappeared, they can be hired for $2000 per hour. Not a bad deal, especially since they say they're willing to sit on the couch while you cook dinner!

Match 3 ? Homicide vs. Samoa Joe (X-Division Title on the line)

We're back from the commercial and the match has already started with Joe hitting Homicide in the face. Homicide gets a reversal and Joe rolls out of the ring. Homicide tries to go for the suicide dive, but Samoa Joe moves out of the way. Homicide hits a flip off the apron on Joe and climbs up the steps to try and hit Joe again, but Joe gets the reversal. Now it's all Samoa Joe. Snap suplex in the center of the ring. Now Joe with a power bomb on Homicide. Joe tries for another, but Homicide reverses and gets the upper hand. Tilt a whirl by Homicide for a two count. Homicide gets on Joe's back and tries to choke him out, but Joe falls backwards into the corner crushing Homicide. Muscle Buster by Joe who gets the pinfall.

Winner: Samoa Joe

Backstage, Lauren is with some of the Knockouts and Iron Mike says there's a big announcement coming after the break.

We're back and we see a limo which D'Angelo Dinero is getting out of. We'll see him later tonight.

Backstage, Lauren is with the Knockouts who are preparing for the tag tournament which starts next week.

Match 4 ? Awesome Kong w/Raisha Saeed vs. Traci Brooks w/Sharmell vs. Sarita w/Taylor Wilde vs. Christy Hemme w/Tara

Kong and Sarita start us out. Kong goes for an Awesome bomb, but when she can't, she throws Sarita. Kong goes after Sarita, but goes over the top rope. Sarita and Christy Hemme with a double drop kick on Kong on the ring apron. As we head to a commercial, Sarita is taking care of the rest of the Knockouts outside the ring.

When we return, Hemme is about to go for the FFG when Kong grabs her for an Awesome bomb. Sarita and Traci knock Kong over. Brooks is down on the mat when Christy hits the FFG on her. Kong picks her up for an implant buster. As Kong goes to climb the ropes, Traci rolls on Hemme for the pin.

Winner: Traci Brooks

Tenay informs us that next week, Kong and Saeed will take on Brooks and Sharmell in the first round of the Knockouts tag team tournament.

Commercial time.

Back from the break, Consequences Creed is in the ring.

Match 5 ? Consequences Creed vs. D'Angelo Dinero

Consequences with the upper hand hits a springboard clothesline. Creed celebrates and the Pope hits him with a wicked shot to the face. Dinero has Creed in a headlock, but the crowd pumps Creed up. Hesitation by Creed allows Dinero to get the upper hand. The Pope hits the Outer Limitz Elbow, then double knees to the back of Creed. Rollup for the three count.

Winner: D'Angelo Dinero

After the match, Suicide's music hits and he runs down to the ring. Before he can get some good shots on the Pope, Dinero rolls out of the ring and takes off up the ramp. As we head to commercial, we see A.J. in the back making his way to the ring to make his big announcement.

When we come back, Lauren is backstage with Matt Morgan who says that he can trust Kurt Angle. Of course, he slips up and says that Angle will get Morgan's boot. The Blueprint is totally going to try and get back at Angle, but I can't see this working out well for Matt.

Styles is in the ring and the crowd is chanting for him not to quit. He says he's proud of the man he's become. He's not proud of losing the Legend's Title, losing his match with Matt Morgan or losing his friends Eric Young and Samoa Joe. He thinks it's time for him to walk away from professional wrestling.

Sting makes his way to the ring and says that this isn't the way he should leave, that he's a loser because he's quitting. Sting's had to deal with setbacks, but he never walked away. He wants to pass the torch to someone and it was supposed to be A.J., but since he's leaving, Styles won't be the guy. Sting says either A.J. admits he's a loser and quitter or he goes back into the locker room and gets his boots on. Styles hugs Sting and the two walk out of the ring.

As we head to the break, we see Bobby Lashley in the back making his way out.

We come back and Hernandez is backstage with Lauren. He says that when he wins the case, he will be the Heavyweight champ. Eric Young shows up and says that he thinks Hernandez wants to join World Elite. When Hernandez is ready, E.Y. will be there to talk.

Bobby Lashley is making his way to the announce table. Lashley says that next week TNA President Dixie Carter will be on iMPACT to discuss the future of Bobby Lashley.

Match 6 ? Team 3D vs. Kurt Angle and Matt Morgan

Before Angle gets to the ring, Kurt makes his way to the announce table and hits Lashley in the face.

Match starts and Angle is in the ring with Brother Ray. Collar and elbow to start. Side headlock by Ray and Angle send him into the ropes. Ray with a shoulder block. Ray has the upper hand and heads out of the ring to get a table. Morgan stops him. Ray with a tag in the ring and 3D with a double team on Angle. Kurt makes the tag and Morgan comes in. Plenty of back and forth as Morgan heads outside the ring to grab a table. Ray stops him out there. Morgan with the upperhand as we head to our final commercial.

We're back and 3D hit the Wassup. The crowd wants the tables. As they set them up in the ring, 3D doesn't see Morgan behind them. Morgan knocks them both down and goes for a chokeslam on Devon through the table. Ray pulls the table away and Morgan tags in Angle. Kurt goes for the Angle Slam, but misses and Devon reverses. Morgan goes for the Carbon Footprint and misses. Near fall after near fall with a missed Angle Slam and a double suplex by 3D. Finally, Angle sets Devon up on the table and tells Morgan to go to the top rope. But Devon gets up and 3D puts Morgan through the table for the win.

Winners: Team 3D

As we fade, Angle is headed up the ramp and the Blueprint says Angle is finished.

Not a bad show tonight. Not sure where some of the storylines are headed, but I am looking forward to seeing Matt Morgan get his hands on Angle. Until next week!
