JENNA MORASCA has spoken out for the first time about being fired by TNA Wrestling ? saying her release came totally out of the blue. The former winner of reality TV show Survivor told SunSport she feels used by the company and that they sacked her while she was helping her boyfriend through his cancer battle. In an exclusive interview, Jenna blasted: "I went on TNA to prove myself, but I feel like I was used as a gimmick and then when that was over they discarded me.

"That was very hurtful, considering everything I'd given in working hard for them and really getting to know this sport. "And the truth is that I took two days off out of all the time of working with them to be with my boyfriend as he had surgery because of his cancer, and they fired me the night before his surgery. "That's honestly the truth and if they didn't want that to be the truth then maybe they should have waited a couple of days."

Telling us her story, Jenna said: "In April my boyfriend, Ethan Zohn, was diagnosed with cancer ? Hodgkin's Lymphoma. "We learned the diagnosis on a Friday and two days later I was supposed to report to work at TNA for a TV taping. "Because I was so dedicated to TNA and wrestling, and wanted to show that, I turned up and worked literally straight after I found out. "I didn't want to tell anyone, but we were doing a lot with People magazine, so they obviously found out. "And everyone in TNA was so supportive ? from the management to the wrestlers I was working with."

Jenna says everything changed after she had her first and only wrestling match, against Sharmell, at the Victory Road PPV in July. She continued: "When I first signed on to TNA in January, it wasn't in my contract to wrestle and it was unlikely I was ever going to have a match. "I told them I would do one if I felt comfortable and safe and when they told me I had a match at Victory Road I was concerned, as they only gave me a couple of months notice. And because we taped four shows in one go we only actually all get together once a month.

"I was really concerned as I didn't want to make a mockery of the sport or make it look like anybody could do it, as that's not the case. "But my main concern was that after my match I would be discarded and my storyline would end. My agent was very sceptical and didn't want me to do it. "However I was assured that wasn't the case so agreed. "We did the match ? some people hated it, some liked it and some disliked it because I had really short shorts on! But people have no idea how hard that sport is. "Then a couple of weeks ago I was scheduled to tape on a Monday and a Tuesday, but I asked them to take those two days off as my boyfriend was having a very important surgery related to his cancer that I had to be there for.

"The surgery was on the Tuesday and it was the first time I had ever asked TNA for time off. I really had to be home to take care of him. "They called my agent on Monday night ? when they knew full well the surgery was on Tuesday ? and told him that I was fired. "I thought the timing was really cruel and insensitive. "Considering we weren't doing a taping for another three weeks, why couldn't they have waited a few more days?"

Jenna's camp are currently talking to WWE and other wrestling companies. Her and Ethan are also planning a reality TV show. But before all that, she's keen to clear up any other rumours over why she was fired by TNA. The sexy brunette revealed: "At first they said it was to do with money, but I'm not sure that was the case as they are supposedly looking at hiring Candice Michelle and other girls.

"When pushed harder they said my storyline had come to an end, which justifies my concern that I'd do the match and then be discarded. "There was also a rumour that I left to another Survivor, which is obviously not true as I'm here talking to you. "I was just really really shocked as I gave them everything I had. "I feel so hurt."
