Major Behind The Scenes Change For ROH - Details Inside

Source: PWInsider.com

Sal Hamaoui has left Ring of Honor. Hamaoui is the promoter of Full Impact Pro Wrestling and has been the one editing and duplicating the ROH DVDs for release. Those behind the scenes say that Hamaoui worked very hard, and that most will not understand how important his contributions to the company have been since 2003 when he joined the company.

When Hamaoui joined the company, ROH was falling behind big time in their DVD distribution, which was hurting their bottom line. Hamaoui turned around the distribution almost immediately. Besides the DVDs, Hamaoui also was in charge of PPV production.

ROH commented on the change, saying that they were bringing the editing of the DVDs in house.

There is no official word on what this means for the ROH/FIP relationship.

There could also be a change in the ROH announce team for the DVD releases. Lenny Leonard and Dave Prazak are not based out of the Northeast, where the editing will now take place. The company could bring them in to do the announcing, but there is no word on that yet either.
